Christmas/Hanukkah 2011, Lucerne Valley Travel Trailer (cold) camping.

I took my DRZ400 motorcycle since I hadn't riden it since I got the KTM. After I finally got it started it rode fine, just like the old days.

Some fun rocks to climb on.

On our second night we had a fire. We stayed out there and enjoyed the sunset until it got too cold. Seriously cold. It got down below 20 degrees F both nights.

Andrea cooked an amazing Christmas feast. We had a turkey roast and pumpkin soufle for dessert.

To help Andrea wake up the next morning I opened the tailgate so she could see the sunny desert from the comfort of the queen sizeed loft bed.

One of the goals of the trip was to fly my Mosquito NRG ultralight. I wanted to have at least some wind for my first take off, but all three days were without any wind. I set up the glider in the hopes of some afternoon breezes, but the harness/engine part is still in the truck. In this picture Andrea is "helping" by pulling the wind streamer back. Oh well, the quest to fly the Mosquito goes on.
